Come and enjoy a relaxing and pleasurable ride along this 3-mile long Foxburg bike trail. This easy-to-peddle paved trail runs along the Allegheny River for its entire length as well as crossing over the mouth of the Clarion River.
This unique area provides wonderful vistas along the trail and provides popular views of large islands that exhibit perched eagles, basking turtles, and frolicking otters. The islands, also known as the Fox Islands, have a growing Great Blue Heron Heronry that was established 10 years ago and gets bigger every year. Ask at the desk to rent our Audubon binoculars to help assist you in your nature watching. You’ll also pass several historical relics representing the past oil and railroad era and make sure to bring your camera!
So leave the stress behind as you cruise beside the clear water of the Allegheny River while taking in the smell of flower blossoms, the sounds of baby wood ducks, or the sight of fall foliage – there is something to see every time you bike along our beautiful trail in Foxburg.
We have bikes for the whole family: singles, tandems, trikes and singles and a child’s tag-a-long Helmets are also available upon request. All children 12 and under are required to wear helmets according to state law.
